Dr Semiya Aziz is a highly experienced GP having worked in both private and NHS practices in North London for almost two decades. She qualified in medicine with a MBBS from The Royal London Hospital after completing a BSc in microbiology from Queen Mary University, London. Following six years in hospital-based medicine gaining extensive skills in gastroenterology, dermatology, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics and rheumatology and postgraduate MRCP exams, she went onto complete her GP training in the NE London Deanery gaining further postgraduate qualifications in MRCGP and DFFP.
Semiya has a specialist interest in Women’s Health, Family Planning/Contraceptive Advice, Menopausal Symptoms and Teenage Mental Health. Most recently she completed a diploma in lifestyle medicine gaining the qualification BSLM/IBLM, where she uses evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat or modify chronic disease.
Her practical medical expertise includes fitting contraceptive IUDs and implants, smears, immunisations, minor dermatological treatments, wellness screening and genetic risk assessments.
