Having qualified at St Bartholomew’s, London, she undertook her cardiology training at the Hammersmith, Royal Brompton, Royal Free, St Thomas’ and St Mary’s Hospitals. She sees patients with all types of heart disease, including angina, hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure and valvular heart disease. She undertakes coronaryangiography and angioplasty, including complex coronary intervention.
Married with 2 children, Professor Gorog enjoys spending time with her family outside of work. As a cardiologist, She tries to provide a caring, personalised approach to treatment, taking into account the patient’s wishes, and the short and long term risks and benefits of screening and intervention, whether with medications or procedures.

Ongoing programme of research into coronary artery disease, in particular identifying patients at risk of heart attack through novel blood tests. Special interest in thrombosis and coronary angioplasty, preventing heart attacks in at-risk patients.
