Mr Navazh Jalaludeen is a Consultant Cardiac Physiologist specialising in performing comprehensive adult Transthoracic and Transoesophageal echocardiograms. He was awarded Fellowship by the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) in recognition of his expertise and leadership in the field.
Mr Navazh Jalaludeen is a strong advocate of heart disease prevention and he utilises some of the most advanced and up-to-date non-invasive cardiac imaging in detecting heart diseases.

Professional Profile
Mr Navazh Jalaludeen holds full Accreditation in Transthoracic Echocardiography from both the British Society of Echocardiography and the European Society of Cardiology. He also has full Accreditation in Transoesophageal Echocardiography from the British Society of Echocardiography. He is also an elected Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.
Mr Jalaludeen was trained in India and UK in the field of Cardiac Sciences. He acquired exceptional technical skills by completing training in transoesophageal echo at Royal Brompton Hospital NHS FT (2016). He is keen on understanding the use of artificial intelligence in the field of echocardiogram and thus has been training in the Executive programme in Artifical intelligence in Healthcare at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was appointed as a Consultant cardiac physiologist and leads the Research Echo department at the Division of Experimental Medicine and Immunotheraputics & Vascular Research Clinic, Cambridge University Hospitals University NHS Trust since 2016.
Personal Profile
Away from the clinic, I have a true passion for gardening. The patience, hard work and attention to detail I have learned as a hobby gardener are invaluable skills that translate into many areas of my life. I am also a family cyclist, I also enjoy cycling with my wife and daughter.

Mr Navazh Jalaludeen is active in research and education. His research focuses on hypertensive heart diseases, heart failure, athlete’s heart and pregnancy-related heart diseases. He is Co-investigator for STEREO(Artificial intelligence in Heart Failure) at the University of Cambridge, Exercise in HFPEF run jointly by St. Georges Hospital (London) and Canterbury Christ Church University. He is a Collaborator for OPTIMISE HFPEF Study (University of Cambridge). He has published a number of research in peer-reviewed journals. He also volunteers as an Examiner for British Society of Echocardiography. He regularly teach and supervise for echocardiology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
