Mr Karavidas regularly performs sialendoscopies and ultilising all forms of minimal treatment for the obstructive disease of the salivary glands including laser intralumenal fragmentation of stones, basket retrieval of stones, balloon sialoplasties and the intraoral ductal stretching technique for the deeply seated stones in the hilum of the submandibular gland. Mr Karavidas has also performed a high volume of free tissue transfer for reconstruction of the facial defects with a variety of flaps. Nowadays reconstruction is patient specific and he often includes a virtual surgical planning in the surgical treatment of his patients.
