Mr Ali Al-lami is an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) consultant with over 10 years experience in ENT surgery. He is an ENT patient himself which attracted him to the speciality from a young age. He focussed his training in ENT surgery and has won multiple prizes in ENT at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He treats both adults and children with the breadth of ENT symptoms.

Professional Profile
Mr Ali Al-lami graduated from the University of London and completed an intercalated BSc at the University of Leeds in Anatomy, achieving distinctions and first class grades in all of his 6 undergraduate years. He developed an early interest in ENT after being a long term sufferer with ear problems, and pursued that interest as a medical student and subsequently won the annual Sydney Scott & Henry Silverman ENT medical student prize. After graduating, he completed a postgraduate master’s degree with distinction in International Health Management & Leadership from the University of Sheffield. He undertook postgraduate ENT training in hospitals in Cambridge, London and across the Kent, Surrey & Sussex deanery.
Mr Al-lami had tertiary level paediatric ENT training at both world renowned children’s hospitals in London (Great Ormond Street and Evelina Hospitals). He completed a prestigious nationally appointed fellowship at Guy’s & St. Thomas’s Hospitals in head and neck, thyroid, parathyroid and robotic surgery.

Personal Profile
I am a proud family man supporting my wife and fathering my two young loving daughters. I enjoy travelling, swimming, cycling with friends and baking cakes with my wife and daughters, usually for the benefit of the staff of the hospitals I work at!

Mr Ali Al-lami is academically involved in the field of research in ENT. He has published over 10 papers in peer reviewed journals including high level research by conducting and publishing a randomised controlled trial and a systematic review and meta-analysis on robotic surgery. He is also frequently invited to give lectures and as a faculty in courses. Mr Ali Al-lami has won many postgraduate prizes including the prestigious annual ENT Masterclass International Conference silver medal for a research project that contributed to national guidelines.
