Dr Sophie West

Professional Profile

Dr West trained at a major Trauma and Oncological centre which gave her a broad exposure to a wide range of complex body trauma and oncology imaging, alongside general radiology.

She has received higher specialty training at Barts and the Royal London from 2013 to 2021, along with Orthopaedic higher specialty training in KSS from 2012 to 2013.  She also undertook core surgical training and foundation training in London from 2006 to 2012. 

She has previously worked for British Eventing, The London Triathlon and the London 2012 Olympics providing medical support to athletes.

Personal Profile

Dr West leads a very busy family life with two boys who provide her with daily adventures alongside maintaining her own interests outside medicine. Sport has always been very important to her and her main interests are golf and swimming, alongside general fitness.

She has previously competed at both national and international level in Para-swimming with an S10 classification between 2013 and 2016 including the European Masters in 2016.
