Dr Kavita Chawla

Dr Kavita Chawla completed her MBBS in 1995 and thereafter finished a 3 year programme leading to an MD in paediatrics. During this time, Dr Chawla acquired extensive experience in all areas of paediatrics and submitted a dissertation in cardiology. She thereafter, completed her MRCP in paediatrics and worked in East Anglia and Addenbrookes before being appointed a Consultant in the East and North Herts Trust, Lister Hospital. She initially lead the ambulatory unit and has over period acquired further skills and knowledge to treat a wide range of paediatric conditions. Dr Chawla treats respiratory and rheumatology patients in specialist clinics and a variety of other problems in her general paediatric practice. She has held the post of Clinical Director for 5 years, also held an Honorary Consultant Post at Great Ormond Street Hospital. She has networks both with the London hospitals and Addenbrookes to provide best care for her patients. She is involved in teaching and quality improvement activities.

Dr Chawla really enjoys her work but besides it she enjoys socialising with friends and family.
