Dr Johann Emmanuel

Dr Emmanuel is the Clinical Director for Pain Services at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust.

After undertaking general medicine training and completing speciality training in anaesthesia Dr Emmanuel undertook super-speciality training in a number of internationally renowned pain centres. He completed a fellowship year in the world renowned Pain Medicine and Research Institute at the Royal North Shore Hospital under the mentorship of Prof Cousins and Assoc. Prof Michael Nicholas. During this time he completed fellowship examination and developed experience in advance neuromodulation techniques such as spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pumps.

Dr Johann Emmanuel has done research for pathways in pain management.

He is married with three children and enjoys swimming and cooking.
