Mr Assiotis specialises in all aspects of upper limb surgery (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand), both trauma and degenerative.

- Upper limb trauma including sports injuries
- Arthroscopic and reconstructive upper limb surgery
- Upper limb primary and revision joint arthroplasty
- Management of tendinopathy including tennis and golfer’s elbow
- Management of compressive neuropathy including carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes.

Mr Assiotis completed his medical undergraduate training in 2007 with a Distinction, reciting the Hippocratic Oath for his graduation class. He then went on to complete his basic surgical training in London, before entering the Trauma and Orthopaedics higher training programme, having ranked first in the national recruitment process out of more than 400 candidates.
Mr Assiotis spent 6 years on the prestigious North West Thames higher training Orthopaedic programme, where he trained in all aspects of Trauma and Orthopaedics, with special emphasis on upper limb pathology and surgery. After completing his training in 2018, he embarked on two high-volume sub-speciality fellowships, at the Lister Hospital and at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, where he gained further experience and expertise in managing upper limb pathology.
Mr Assiotis has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is invited regularly on regional and national courses as faculty. He has also been awarded an MSc in Healthcare Research Methods, with a Distinction.
In his spare time Mr Assiotis enjoys long distance running.
